The Virgin Islands is once again preparing to welcome food lovers, adventure seekers, and cultural explorers to the highly anticipated Anegada Lobster Festival 2025.
Set to take place from November 28–30, 2025, the festival will serve as the grand finale of this year’s BVI Food Fete and promises to be more immersive than ever before. Organised by the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC) in collaboration with the Anegada community, the festival celebrates the very best of Anegada’s culinary, cultural, and natural offerings.
Nine Local Restaurants Already Onboard
Nine local restaurants have already confirmed their participation, with more expected to join in the coming weeks. As in previous years, the festival will follow its signature culinary crawl format. This dynamic, scavenger-hunt-style adventure encourages festivalgoers to explore every corner of Anegada while sampling lobster creations and taking in the island’s sights, sounds, and experiences. With 13 square miles of unspoiled natural beauty and open coastal roads, Anegada is the perfect stage for this celebration.
A Celebration of Anegada in Full Colour
Now in its 13th year, the Anegada Lobster Festival continues to grow into an event that showcases the entire island. The Caribbean spiny lobster may remain the star of the show, but the focus has widened to include the island’s culture, history, and natural charm. What started as a way to encourage visitors and residents to discover Anegada has become an immersive three-day celebration of food, music, and exploration. Through years of investment in maps, brochures, attraction upgrades, and curated experiences, the Tourist Board has turned this festival into a gateway for experiencing Anegada as a whole.
A Culinary Journey Like No Other
Each participating restaurant offers its own special lobster sampler, turning the festival into an island-wide tasting tour. This year’s offerings include:
From grilled to curried, spicy to savoury, every stop along the crawl delivers a new twist on Anegada’s signature dish.
Something for Every Type of Traveller
The Anegada Lobster Festival is about more than food. Visitors can explore Flamingo Point Lookout, Conch Shell Mounds, Faulkner House Museum, Fisherman’s Wharf, and the Anegada Iguana Headstart Facility. Adventure seekers can enjoy snorkelling, kiteboarding, kayaking, scooter riding, horseback riding, and hiking. Those looking to relax can soak up the sun on the island’s quiet beaches or sip cocktails while watching the spectacular sunsets that Anegada is known for.
Music, Art, and Island Vibes
As evening falls, the island comes alive with the sounds of Virgin Islands musicians and regional performers. Local artisans display their jewellery, crafts, and artwork, offering visitors a chance to take home a piece of Anegada. Beach parties and gatherings under the stars add a vibrant nightlife element to the experience, making the festival feel both festive and intimate.
Sustainability at the Heart
Each year the event grows, but so does its commitment to the environment. From responsible lobster sourcing to eco-friendly event practices, organisers are determined to protect Anegada’s natural beauty and ensure that future generations can enjoy the island’s delicate ecosystem.
An Experience Not to Miss
Whether you are coming for the lobster, the culture, the music, or the sheer beauty of the island, the Anegada Lobster Festival 2025 is your invitation to experience the British Virgin Islands in their most authentic and celebratory form. It is three days of flavour, fun, and discovery, an adventure that will stay with you long after the last lobster tail has been savoured.
